How the Layering Score works
ScentLayering uses deterministic fragrance heuristics to explain whether two perfumes are likely to layer coherently, how complete the supporting data is and how well the result fits a user.
Compatibility
Compatibility considers fragrance-family affinity, note harmony, intensity balance, longevity and projection balance, texture or character synergy, dominance risk and redundancy risk.
Confidence
Confidence reflects data completeness. A high compatibility result based on incomplete notes or missing performance attributes should not appear as equally certain as a well-documented pairing.
Personal Fit
Personal Fit uses optional user context such as preferred notes and families, projection, longevity, season and occasion. With enough private wear history, a modest bounded adjustment may also be applied.
Important limitation
The method is a transparent product heuristic, not a scientific validation of fragrance perception. Skin chemistry, climate, dosage and personal taste can change the real-world result.
